Certificate II in Music
This course is offered in conjunction with Jazzworx!, a private provider of jazz music education in Brisbane. The program has been adjusted to suit the requirements of the music we address here in Gympie, ie contemporary/popular country rock.
It will enable students to experience playing their instrument in a small group environment and provide them with the opportunity create and write their own melodies and understand the theory that goes into making the music work. Although aimed at younger students, the Certificate II does offer 4 points towards the QCE should older students wish to be involved.
Lessons are offered in small groups of 5 - 6 students. Instrumentation available includes guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, drums, fiddle and students will be taught by multi-instrumental teachers who are qualified to deliver and assess the course.
